Recommendations to transit drivers in three languages – Romanian, Greek and Turkish

Recommendations to transit drivers in Romanian, Greek and Turkish have been prepared by the Traffic Police Department of the General Directorate National Police. Traditionally, in this part of the year, transit traffic through our country increases, with drivers from our three neighboring countries being the most active. This is also the reason to prepare a special brochure in their languages, in which the main provisions of the Road Traffic Act, as well as the changes made to it in recent years, are outlined.

The brochures will be available online on the websites of the Ministry of Interior. The texts in them clarify the maximum permitted speed for driving on highways, suburban roads and in populated areas. Basic provisions are underlined, such as the fact that in our country both drivers and passengers must use safety belts, and vehicles must drive with their lights on, even during the day. The requirements for emergency stopping (placement of a reflective triangle and distance from it) are also clarified.

Special attention is paid to the sanctions for the most frequent violations, as well as the payment options for imposed penalties. The brochures also include a number of recommendations for the drivers.
