Minister Emil Dechev: I deeply believe that “rule of law” is not an empty phrase in the Constitution

Minister Dechev outlined two main priorities for the Ministry of Interior in front of the media after taking over from his predecessor Daniel Mitov. “We will do our best for the employees to fulfill their commitments to hold fair and free elections on April 19.” He drew attention to the fact that not only the Ministry of Interior is responsible for this process. Such an obligation is also shared by the parties, the non-governmental sector, the Central Election Commission, and the Information Service. “We will assume our share of the overall responsibility and will do our best to fulfill our obligations 100 percent. As a judge with 25 years of experience, I deeply believe that “the rule of law” is not an empty phrase in the Constitution”, he added.
