Through the European Civil Protection Mechanism, we have seen the real dimensions of solidarity in practice, said Minister Daniel Mitov

I would like to thank all the teams and crews from European Union Member States—Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, and Sweden – that joined Bulgarian firefighters and teams through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism in order to extinguish fires in our country over the past few days.

The European Civil Protection Mechanism works, and we have seen in practice the real dimensions of European solidarity. When disasters strike, we must help each other with joint efforts, resources, and expertise, said Minister Daniel Mitov at Plovdiv Airport, where he met with the foreign crews who participated in dealing with the complex fire situation in recent days.
