The Director of the National Police General Directorate, Chief Commissioner Hristo Terziyski, participated in the General Assembly of the Southeast Europe Police Chiefs Association (SEPCA). The meeting was held on June 6 and June 7,
2019 in Kishinev, Republic of Moldova. Directors and Deputy-Directors of police services of the SEPCA member-countries, guests and observers from international and regional law-enforcement organizations took part in the event.
The main topics of the forum were the organized crime threats, as well as the illicit migration on the territory of the member-countries.
Chief Commissioner Hristo Terziyski underlined that Bulgaria has always considered that the main added value of SEPCA is the nature of the Association. It provides a possibility for a flexible approach and direct exchange of opinion on common matters and specific cases of mutual interest, due to the direct contact between the heads of police structures from the countries in the region.
The Southeast Europe Police Chiefs Association (SEPCA) was established in January 2002. It is rotated. In 2019 the leadership is entrusted to the Republic of Moldova.
