Deadline for the change of documents

In accordance with the Bulgarian Identity Documents Act the deadline for change of documents shall be 31 December 2000. By that time all Bulgarian nationals must exchange their Bulgarian passports for ID cards; they must obtain new passports for travelling abroad and driving licenses, which shall also be used as identity documents.
