Projects

Academy of the Ministry of Interior (2003)

This project has been just launched. It aims at the fulfillment of standards in order to prepare for full participation in the area of freedom, security and justice in accordance with the EU and Schengen acquis as well as the strengthening of the administrative capacity of the Ministry of Interior to effectively implement the acquis in the field of police co-operation. It focuses on providing a training development assistance package for the Academy of the Ministry of Interior aimed at:

• preparation of the teaching staff to implement a new-style training system for current and new recruits covering a range of professional basic and specialized skills;
• enabling the staff of the Ministry to carry out its law enforcement functions along the same lines and standards as their EU colleagues
