Status and Perspectives
Summary
Over the last two years and a half strategic changes were undertaken within the Ministry of Interior, which aimed at the optimization of the structures in the system of MoI and improving their efficiency.
The internal reformation of the structures and the redirection of activities where needed, was a key element in those changes – the restoration of the Chief Directorate “Combating Organized Crime”, the formation of the Chief Directorate “Criminal Police” and the Chief Directorate “Public Order and Security Police” and the incorporation of the Chief Directorate “Pre-trial Proceedings” into the structures of Chief Directorate “Combating Organized Crime” and Chief Directorate “Criminal police”, the closing down of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the relocation of the “Civil protection” in Chief Directorate “Fire Safety and Civil Protection” .
