2002 – Promoted in advance to a higher rank and appointed Head of Unit within the Service for Combating Organised Crime in Plovdiv Regional Directorate of Interior
1996 - 2002 – Started working at the Ministry of Interior, at first as a field officer and subsequently as Head of Group for  International Terrorist Organisations within Plovdiv Regional Unit of the National Security Service

During his service in the Ministry of Interior he was awarded many times by the Minister of Interior and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior
2007 – Awarded with the special price “Policeman of the Year”
Awarded by the Directors of Europol, FBI and Secret Service
